Achievements

Media Coordinator for the Loughborough AU Kickboxing Team.

In this role, I am responsible for increasing the attraction of the club through its social media pages and keep them up to date. This is a big role as I have to take on the job of expanding the team and keeping a positive view of it. As part of this role I also have to be the team's photographer and videographer.

Social SIO (Student Involvement Officer) for the Loughborough Computer Science department.

Responsible for creating and organising social activities and events for the Computer Science department. This also involves planning, budgeting and advertising future events. Some events that I organised or helped organise include an annual CS pizza party, the CS Summer ball or a weekly Volleyball Tournament between students and Staff.

Club Captain for the Leander Swimming Club.

Being the Captain of the team I had the responsibility of becoming the "middle man" between the swimmer and the coach. This meant I had to make sure the swimmers did the work during their session and sometimes lead it when the coach was dealing with something else. Whenever a swimmer had doubt about a race or a session, I was also responsible of either giving them advice, or asking the coach for advice which I would then deliver it on.

Senior Prefect which represented one of the five houses in my secondary school.

Had many responsibilities such as monitoring younger students, working as a librarian, tutoring Maths students and assisting with Open Days. During Open Days and other events I had to speak to and tour prospective students.

Duke Of Edinburgh

Completed both Bronze and Gold awards. Both awards consisted of Volunteering between 3-12 months, completing a Physical activity for 6-18 months and taking part in a Skills activity for 3-12 months. In my Volunteering I volunteered as a Scout Leader for my Bronze and an assistant teacher in maths for my Gold. For both Bronze's and Gold's Physical activity I swam certain hours a week. Finally my Skills activity consisted of volunteering as a librerian for my Bronze award and in a Robotics classroom for my Gold award, where I assisted the teacher in teaching students to understand robots. In order to complete these awards I took part in a 2 day walking expedition for my Bronze award and a 5 day expedition for my Gold.

London Youth Games 2019

Selected to swim and represent Lambeth Council in the 50meter Breastroke race winning 3rd place.

National Citizen Service

Worked with teammates from a diverse range of backgrounds to develop charity projects and learned to deliver speeches to large audiences on this program, which boosted my confidence, my social and communication skills.
